Fowllowing in the Footsteps

The Call of Duty series has finnally strayed away from World War II and moved on to current day war. As many see this as somthing great (No more WWII games yes) it will now just lead to allot of Modern tactical shooters. That said Call of Duty 4 looks amazing. It has amazing graphics all new weopons but so far the biggest thing is the multiplayer. Call of Duty is now offering the creation of custom classes where you can choose from weopons, explosives and perks. Perks are like special abbilaties. A few of them are giving you twice the rate of fire, When you die you drop a live grenade and being able to give your bullets more power to go through walls and celings. It still offers premade classes if you are two lazy to make your own. Call of Duty is looking like the Battlefield series. Battlefield started out with Battlefield 1942 a WWII game much like Call of Duty 1-3, Battlefield 2, a mordern day game much like Call of Duty 4 and then Battlefield 2142 which is futureristic and this might aswell be a Call of Duty further down the line. The Battlefield series also has classes to choose from and vehicles. So although this is probably by chance it would be cool if further down the line Call of Duty went futureistic. Call of Duty 4's release is Nov. 5th. You can also follow this link to watch some of the new pers in action http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PO9UMSE2DjU

Yes - there does seem to be a few too many Modern/Near Modern Tactical shooters for the 360 - although the 'special powers in COD4 seem like a very smart way to differentiate themselves in the market.

Nov 5th eh?
