Before Halo We Ran

All of the computers in my house are macs and as far as I know always have been. So when I was growing up there were only a hand full of computer games. Among them (and the most played one) is the Marathon series. This was in short a mac DOOM. But marathon was a more complicated shooter with the ability to look around and having tasks other that kill everyone and make it to the exit. This series as you probably know is made by Bungie the creators of the Halo trilogy. The second entry in the Marathon series was just put up on marketplace for 800 points (or $10). When I first started there were childhood memories around every corner, and with the new remake it plays and looks better than ever. It is still very confusing witch can lead to allot of wandering around. Marathon: Durandal also supports 8 player online as well as split-screen on both co-op and versus. You can bring 4 friends and play online as well. Playing it makes you notice all kinds of things that are in Halo like sentinels. As well as maps and guns. Its is an awesome experience and defiantly worth it for a mere $10. Hope to see you online!!

Yes, I remember Marathon:Durandel very well - the environments seemed so big, and it was very easy to get totally lost on some levels.

It seems very dated now - as all games inevitably become, but oit was great 'back in the day'.

PS - great pun with marathon/run
