Cheaters! Players? Cheaters!

I recently got the game Rainbow six Vegas and they did somthing innovative in their multiplayer that was good and bad. As you played more games you got experience for doing certain things and as you ranked up you would get new guns, armour, colours of camo and things to change your appearance. But the problem was that you got a bunch of experince for staying in the game for as long as posible (according to the timelimit) then people got the bright idea to sit in a game with a friend overnight put a 15 seconds in between each game and then you go up a bunch of ranks. Obviously Ubisoft caught on and would put anyone back to starting ranks if they were just sitting there. But somone invented the elastic band so the thumbstick was jammed moving. If you play fair it takes forever to get to the highest rank so all these people have sweet guns that are hard to compete with.

The other problem with this is you get experience for all of the wrong reasons. If you are escorting intel you should be awarded for doing it quickly but it is the complete opposite. This makes for waiting in games for 20 min. instead of 2 min.

But there are some good things. You can completely customise your player. If you have an xbox vision camera you can put your face on your player. But you are the only one who can see it. (other people can in co-op games but it takes a long time to load on their xbox.) Otherwise it was a very wise move bringing rainbow six back near the top of the Clancy's games

You make good points - It is more important to enjoy the game, rather than focus on points/racking up high gamerscores if the gameplay isn't fun.

Now, I just need to find a rubber band and I'll be set...
